SINDER
Compound Sulfamonomethoxine Sodium Injection
Veterinary Use
(Veterinary Drug name)Compound Sulfamonomethoxine Sodium Injection
(Main Component)Sulfamonomethoxine Sodium, Trimethoprim
(Description)A clear, colorless to slightly yellow liquid.
(Indications for Use)Used for infection of respiratory tract, digestive tract and urinary tract of swine caused by sensitive bacterias.
Antimicrobials. Sulfamonomethoxine has broad spectrum antibacterial activity and has a strong inhibitory effect on most gram-positive and negative bacteria. By competing with p-aminobenzoic acid in dihydrofolate synthase, Sulfamonomethoxine inhibits the synthesis of folate from sensitive bacteria. By inhibiting dihydrofolate reductase, Trimethoprim prevents dihydrofolate from being reduced to tetrahydrofolate and inhibits folate metabolism and utilization of sensitive bacteria. The combined use of the two components can simultaneously block folate metabolism from two different links and produce synergistic antibacterial effect.
(Administration and Dosage)
Intramuscular injection: 0.2-0.3ml per 1kg weight of swine for each dosage. 1-2 dosage/day, continuously use for 2 to 3 days.
(Adverse Effect)
Excessive dose is prone to acute poisoning, mainly manifested as nerve excitement, co-agent disorder, anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea and hematopoietic function, urinary system damage.
(Precaution)
1. This product is not suitable for use with urotropine.
2. Patients with liver and kidney insufficiency should use with caution.
